Boo Ha! Backagain with a vengence. This could be a trend, but don't bet on it.
So Love is back from her trip, which unfortunately as bad as she had thought. Fortunately having her back is better than that. We had dinner with Shadowedge last night, after Love got back from the airport. Also, those plays we are putting on. They happen in a little more than a week. Excitement begins to stirr my large belly. Yesterday daytime, before the return of Love, was focussed mostly on the transferrence of 50, yes 50 milk crates, ladies and gentlemen. They now reside in the TA, which is hopefully where they all will stay until the play is concluded. At which point we will return them. This minor adventure consisted of getting a U-haul, driving a U-Haul, and unloading it. Not too bad. Unlike my usual habbit of telling you about what has happened over the last few months, I am going to give some warning as to upcomming events, so that when I have time to respond about them, I will remember if they happened or not. Make sense? Probably not. But here is what should happen. This weekend we are helping out NC orientation on Sunday. Then we rehearse and do plays at end of orientation week. Week after that: . . . DRAGON CON!!! See Erin and have a blast at THE CON! Buy many more dice. Get dice by the pound. It will be great. After that I have a journal sale at work. After that . . . i don't know yet, but I won't be surprised.
This morning Ophidia called and talked to me for a long time, and made me very happy. It is nice talking to people when one is supposedly working, and even better when it is a loved one. And it is because of that conversation that I was told I should write this, which is good for you, because it allows me to while away your time rather than some other schmuck who doesn't have your best interest at heart. Never mind that I blather on aimlessly about nothing.
I have made a decision though, a concept, and I want to share it. It is fun because it is controvertial, but has its uses. Power doesn't corrupt. The corrupt seek power, and people with power can be tempted to use it to feed the inherent corruption of the soul. I have to think though, that there is the option for the greater spirit of a human to choose though. Power is a tool to accomplish things. It can be used for good or ill, but it should remain just a tool. TV is a tool, and while it is corrupted by the people that run it in general, good things like PBS exist on it. People with their individual bits of power have to be able to do some good, or else te world would be all bad. And while the Goths will debate that point, I prefer a more rounded view. Power doesn't kill people. People kill people. Power just makes it easier. I think the idea that it is corrupt causes too much shyness in those souls that might have enough good to use it. Everyone will probably be tempted towards corruption through power, but I like to think we have a choice in the matter. Ah, but free will is another subject entirely, which I will save for a day when I am feeling more adventurous, or I just have to.
