2003-09-12 - 4:35 p.m. I am back. I crawl up from the pits of human consciousness in order to fill whatever ears are out there with my news. I am tired and exhausted. Not a fun state to be in, but I'll be better soon. So I mentioned last time that many great things were about to happen, and they all did, plus one which I had not hoped for. So here is my recollections. I went to help with Orientation. There were many people helping with orientation. Because of this, I believe I moved in around 30 people. Maybe it was only 20, but it certainly wasn't less than that. The water was cold, plentiful, and useful. The sun was hot, draining, and constant. I got a pretty good sunburn at the end of the day. Got there at 9, played with technical difficulties untilten something. Started moving people around ten something, until 3:30. Non stop, save a five minute break to find out that all the pizza ad been eaten, and the icies that were available cost a buck. Went and ate, drank lots of fluids. Don't remember specifics. Then we did our week of final rehearsals. Thursday dress rehearsal was my favorite performance, for me, because I was on my game and feeling relatively well. Friday's performance, I felt like I was going to die during, but the show went on, and I think I did well. I got my favorite audience responce that evening. Saturday i was nice and healthy for, but a bit drooping from being tired. We returned the milkcrates, and I started calculating the logistics for Dragon Con. Boy was that fun. In the end we all got there alive if not well. Atlanta driving is hell, always. Parking is worse. I bought Linser stuff, dice, FLUXX!!, and some other things. I am happy with it. Drove home straight, with two short brakes for gas. Seeing Erin was great, and filled me with Joy. She did exceptional on the panel she was on, and I suggest her work to everyone. I also believe most people who read this already do or won't. See faithinthis live journal for more detailedness on Dragon Con. Wednesday Ophidia left me, and my world got shifted three inches to the right. I don't suspect there will be huge gaping changes in it, but it takes a bit for things to settle after something like that. At this point work was demanding me to set things up for the journal sale. I had to contract friends to help me over the weekend. Love, Shadowedge, adn Ophidia were the ones that turned up. I put in an extra 7 hours of work over the weekend. I also started back up my roleplaying game during this. Now I have spent the last week working extended hours at work, without having to do particularly much of anything, but I am still in motion. This comes to an end tonight, and the sale ends. So for a monthish, I have been busy every weekend and most weekdays, generally not getting enough sleep, and asked to endure everything that the world can throw at me, and I have done so in a relatively commendable way. I am just really ready to stop now. But the world never stops. You can however, just let it spin. Tommorrow, good things happen for friends of mine, and I get to help. It makes me happy. Amidst all of this, I have the sad announcement that I have come to see the logic of conservative thought and fear mongering. Fortunately I am not as smart as Churchill. Enlightenment is for Fools. Have a nice day.
