So it has been almost a month. It has been a busy month, but I don't really feel like anything particularly happened. I went to ren fair at some point after my birthday, and had a good time, but didn't buy anything. I took a week off from work, which was a nice break from the normal, but not as restful as I'd have liked. I then had a light week at work, which was nice, because I got some internet reading in. I then rested that weekend, after losing my bank card, and freaking about that. This week has rushed by, with a car accident added for spice. Everyone is fine, but the car is in grim shape. Hopefully we'll have confirmation whether it can be revived soon, 3 week minimum for repairs. I am tired, and on the wrong side of the bed today, so I actually wont be saying much, other than I hope I feel better tommorrow, when I go to the Ren Fair again.
Today's thought is that culture has hit adolescence. It is growing in strange new ways it doesn't understand. It thinks it knows everything. It is generally depressed and mopey. It has strongly repressed sexual desires. It is a cute metaphore.
Rather than play king of the mountain on the hills that already have kings on them, why don't we find our own. I am not saying we interfere with their hill, by casting stones, but rather we play our own games, and let them do the bad things they have done all along. I am tired of playing with bullies and cheaters. I am just afraid that has taken away all my playmates.
