I am slipping, but I keep trying. So what has been happening. Well, after Charlie took his tour of Florida, I went back to Arcadia to put a bit of roof back on the house. You all missed me kicking an 800lb.ish chinaberry tree off the roof. It was severely weakened, and gravity did most of the work, but it was funny.
We had spent an hour or more cutting it with chainsaw, levering it off the roof using wedge principles, and finally, after some more cutting, I get back on the roof, and go, "Hmmm, I wonder if I can just push it off with my leg." And then did so with minimal effort, and a huge *CRASH* sound.
Now I have yet to hear if our minimal roofing job has survived Frances, but I really am hoping so. I forget if we roleplayed after that, or just slept for the rest of that weekend.
That Wednesday I had my first day of class, and it was awesome for all the things I said in the last post, as well as the fact I know what my homework is for the semester, except for readings. It promises to be an enriching class, without sucking all of my time away. I know we started playing Faeries again that Saturday, but I can't say I remember much else of that weekend.
Francis was fun, other than I was sad at the time it cost me. Had to clear the house for winds again. Spent most of the weekend playing videogames, doing homework, and prepping roleplaying game stuff.
I did not feel like getting out of bed this morning, but I have been strong, and had an entire day of wakedness if not wakefullness.
I am feeling less paranoid, but that is probably just so my guard will be down enough for something to slip in. I am really feeling pretty good about the world, but we'll see.
I have shirts to mail out. I need to get more shirts, and addresses.
